


Creatives in the music, publishing, fine arts, graphic arts and fashion industries are joining forces to showcase their products and talents at Nafasi Art Space in Mikocheni, today Saturday, 20th March.
All the exhibitors are graduates of a creative enterprise course sponsored by the British Council and the Royal Danish Embassy as part of their support of the creative sector. Close to 60 people were trained in 2009.
Among those participating are Mwandale, renowned sculptor, recogn-
ised nationally and Internationally for her unique carvings; Kemi Kalikawe, a rising fashion designer under the Naledi label; Frank Rutaihwa and the launch of myKariakoo; Sauda Simba, who will be launching her latest release, called “Sauti ya Sauda” following the success of her first album, “Simply Jazzmin”: and super-producer Ambrose Akula Akwabi aka Dunga, producer of mega hits “Anita”, by Matonya and “Mr. Politician” by Nakaaya, and “Nipeni Dili”, by Mangwair, to name only a few.
The Fair will take place alongside the very popular WaPI, another British Council supported series of events now in its 3rd year.
