Every summer, a group of promoters and DJ's - Jersey254, come together to organize the ultimate summer get together in the United States. The widely publicized event often hosts a slew of artists and DJ's from Kenya and the United States and is climaxed by the unique Streetbash held in Paterson, New Jersey.
Event organizers, Umoja Entertainment & Sambaza Inc, teamed up with the vivacious Jersey dj duo- Kabugi the DJ and Vj One to form the formidable Jersey 254. The group has set the bench mark in delivering excellent entertainment by securing the most demanded talent and using the most exquisite venues New Jersey has to offer.
Furthermore, in conjunction with powerhouse DJ's and promoters in the U.S., Jersey 254 aggressively promotes the annual event every July 4th weekend - which critics admit is the most successful and entertaining social gathering in the United States.
Everything from face painters, bouncing castles, food and merchandise vendors to LIVE concerts and DJ shows are common. For most Kenyans living in the United States, this is an event none of them like to miss. Forthose of you who live in Jersey , New York , Allentown , & The greater North East US Just Remember Charity Begins At Home.

The last one we went it wasn't good at all. We attended two events one at a park during the day time and the other one it was in a club at night...in all events we were treated as out-casters...We thought may be the first even we crushed the wrong crowd but were so wrong...In all events that we attended people looked at us like "what are you guys doing here?" ...I was there just to have funny, socialized and support my neighbor. I do remember I brought some friends with me but it was a big turn off to me and my friends who were not from Africa. I do recalled they told me these people are not friendly at all..We asked for the chair that no one was sitting and we were told it was for someone..lucky we found another chair and sat but until we left no one sat on that chair....

I am not saying this because of the recently Ka-mau issue but I am here to to give my review and to whomever is planning to go to this event to just be prepare and try to make the most out of it alone or if you have some friends with you will be much better...

F***, this has turned to hate blog, why y'all hating, juz cuz 1 kenyan made a stupid statement, u bring it all to all kenyans, If you have something to say holla it to "kamau". Never act on assumptions what if it was a tanzanian who wrote the kamau article? coz its hard to tell nationality from the comments left. Quit hating, we all brothers. Regarding the richest country in east africa all that is bullshit, we all poor, there is no diffrence between kenya, tanzania or even south africa coz minority hold the stakes and majority ARE poor. Get the sh*t straight and learn to live in harmony. The east africa cooperation is really f***ED UP there is hate blood and it will take only centuries for africa to unite, most of us are still slaves coz we thinking like our masters, just imagine if all africa was one, white man divided us so that he could rule us before 1885 there was no tanzania, kenya, uganda, just think outside the box. If every tanzanian would have nyerere vision i guess we would have have the hate comments. Im suprised michuzi for putting "kamau" article knowing the effect it would have. NOT ALL KENYANS think like "kamau". TREAT kamau as kamau, he is not kenyan spokesman period!

michuzi please post this if you aint a hater!

Mike Ngura, wewe lugha hiyo iache sasa. unatuangusha tuliosoma nawe. Yaani lugha gani hiyo past tense inafuatiwa na present halafu continuous tense.

Kajiandikishe english medium school wakufunze upya kiinglish bwana, unataka tukwambiaje ndiyo uelewe? Andika kiswahili bwana, pamoja na kukaa US miaka tisa na ushee hata kunyoosha sentensi tu huwezi bwana.
