Pictured above is Dr. Mohammed Ali Sheikh (36), a lecturer in Chemistry at the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA) has been considered and nominated for recognition by the International Biographical Centre (IBC) being among 100 world top scientists for the year 2010.
The IBC Award Board every year notifies the nomination of 100 eminent professionals in the field of science. This nomination is made out of many thousands of biographies from a wide variety of sources investigated by the research and editorial departments of the IBC. A selected few are those of individuals, who, in IBC belief have made a significant enough contribution in their field to engender influence on a local, national or international basis, Dr. Sheikh has met these requirements and has now been honoured a member of the IBC.
As a holder of this distinction, Dr. Sheikh can be assured of his place in the history of International Biographical Centre and be gratified that his work has not only been noticed but also recognized as outstanding.
Dr. Mohammed Ali Sheikh
In any one year, only one hundred of the world’s best scientists, both famous and uncelebrated, from all disciplines will be able to populate this exclusive list. These are people whose daily work makes a difference – not just those who populate the headlines.
It is henceforth decreed that Dr. Sheikh should be on this list for 2010 but as bearer of this honour he will be recorded in perpetuity in the halls of the International Biographical Centre.
As a listee of the IBC Top 100 Scientists, one is eligible for the commemorative items available – the distinguished and limited Top 100 Scientists medal, designed by regalia-makers to the World’s Monarchies and the distinguished illuminated certificate which is printed in full colour on finest parchment, laminated onto solid wood for instant hanging.

ReplyDeleteZanzibaris are very brilliant when they are given chance.
I worked in Zanzibar for two years and I have to admit that I learned a lot of good things from them.
Tanzania mainland has a lot to learn from Zanzibar.
As a catholic I loved the way the muslim majority co-exists with their fellow christians.
I remember one time we were holding a christian celebration in church, and our muslim brothers and sisters later came to feast with us after the mass. It was really good. In short I MET GOD IN ZANZIBAR. I love ZANZIBARIS.
