Serengeti Breweries Limited, through its Premium Serengeti Lager Brand (PSL), has this year, once again, scooped the German Agricultural Society (DLG) award, for the third year running.

Speaking at the press conference today, the SBL’s Managing Director, Mr. Richard Wells, said that SBL has been participating in the beer testing event in DLG since 2008 and has successively managed to win the award for the brand.

Mr Wells said that DLG competition is considered as the toughest testing organization in the world for beer and it’s also an expensive undertaking to take part in such an activity. “In the last 4 years, PSL has won three GOLD medals from both DLG and Monde Selection, which are internationally recognized to be one of the toughest testing organizations in the world for beer” he noted. Today - We want to share with you the quality credentials and awards won by PSL and why we believe and know the brand deserved the Golden Quality Awards”.

The awards like DLG have placed PSL in the arena of key international beers. Each food & beverages category is tested once a year within the scope of the voluntary product-focused International DLG quality competitions held in different regions of Germany each time.

The Marketing Director of SBL, Ms. Caroline Ndungu said that Quality is key in the beer industry and that is strictly observed at SBL. “The finest ingredients and the brewing process are also vital and for PSL to win this international award, it is a reflection of the hard work the brew master and his team has put in.” Premium Serengeti Lager has grown, over the years, to be one of Tanzania’s leading beer brands. Refreshingly crisp, it is the first lager in Tanzania to be 100% Malt.

The PSL quality campaign that is being launched today will sail through the coming weeks countrywide with three phases that will incorporate a number of activities including the annual event ‘Fiesta’. There will be shining Golden moments for this award winning brand that has made the consumers and the country proud.
