Transmition
*Unprotected Sexual Intercourse with an infected person
*Contact with an infected person's blood
*Use of infected blood products
*Sharing of shaving equipments and toothb rushes
*from Mother to Child
Signs and Symptoms
You may experience mild symptoms or no symptoms at all and still be infected with the virus.When they (Symptoms) appear they include;
*Flu-like illness
*Nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea
*loss of appetite
*itchy skin
*exhaustion
*aches and pain
*jaundice
Treatment
Full recovery is possible. Once recovered you can't be infected or transmit it again.
For mild symptoms no treatment is required just the body immune fight off the virus in few months;
For chronic symptoms - antiviral medication to help prevent liver damage. Treatment usually lasts for about 6 months.
All infected person should have regular blood tests and physical check ups to monitor the virus even if they are not receiving treatment.
