The late Msafiri Hassan Kalipeni

Dear Relatives and Friends,

Allow me to cry on this page the passing away of the above captioned.

As an errand boy cum painter I met Msafiri way back 1976 who had just
come to Dar es Salaam to paint a house and was expecting to go back to
his home town Morogoro.

Through this seemingly one piece of assignment, Msafiri  distinguished
himself as hard working, intelligent, sincere, courageous, a quick
learner as well as very sociable person.  No wonder East African
Development Bank - his employer for over 30 offered him a post in its
Tanzania Branch Office.   In The office, he was a pivotal person from
security, cleanliness, welfare, registry, meetings etc.

All who worked in the East African Developmen Bank be it Tanzania,
Uganda or Kenya, will agree with me that Msafiri touched almost
everybody's life one way or another. He did a myriad of personal
errands for a good number of officials of the Bank as well as other
outside people.  He enjoyed being of some service to others.  No
wonder he died while doing just that.

He used to call me mom, gave me that extra ordinary respect and
treatment I have never experienced.  He was joined by his dear wife at
times to lift me from my doldrums  of mood or just give me good time
and a ride to their farm.  Indeed I am crying alone in this foreign
country  and will keep on crying for so for a long time. Already I am
lost as for just as many years he worked for East African Development
Bank, he dealt with the problem of land rents, property tax and site
rates!

For now I will pray to Almighty God to grant us the serenity with
which to accept that cannot be changed.

Meanwhile I challenge those who can to open a blog for our dear
Msafiri where everyone can empty his heart on feelings for him.
(Mindi kindly ask Michuzi whom I think is a friend or relative to do
something).

If blogging, I am willing for my statement to be edited.  Otherwise I
remain crying alone.

Lots of luv from moma.
