This course is open to clinical officers (CO’s) in Tanzania and elsewhere who have been in public/private work practice for at least 3 years in a health related field.
Aim of the course:
This course is aimed at clinical officers who want to improve competence in clinical medicine and clinical officers who will sit for the AMO entrance test conducted by the TTCIH Ifakara
Core Subject areas:
• Pediatrics
• Obstetrics and gynecology
• Internal medicine
• Surgery
• Community medicine
Evaluation/Assessment:
Assessment will be based on assignments, assisted learning, participation in panel discussions with tutors and a mock examination at the end of the short training.
Certification:
Testimonials confirming attendance will be issued at the end of the course. A certificate is awarded to those participants who have reached the acceptable level of theoretical performance.
Conditions of admission:
Completion of diploma in clinical medicine and three years of professional experience The course is limited to 30 participants Full payment of course fees 2 weeks before the beginning of the courseCourse fee: The total course fee is TSH400’000.00. The payment deadline must be 2 weeks before the start of the course. The course fee includes mid-morning snacks, lunch, recreation activities and stationery except photocopies. The course fee does not include accommodation.
