Originally from the Goa region, the very famous art historian and watercolorist, John Da Silva, has always lived in Stonetown, Zanzibar. He found his love for art by overlooking at his town. Starting with painting and refacing St Joseph the Catholic cathedral of Zanzibar, he then moved on to sketching, drawing and painting the one love of his life- Stone Town.

Today, he remains one of the most prolific and acclaimed artists of Zanzibar and Tanzania. His main goal is to keep the memory of Zanzibar alive.

Exhibition Hall, FREE! Open till 30 April / Mon. to Fri. 10am - 6pm / Saturdays 9am - 5pm
