Fabio Borini with Liverpool FC managing director
Ian Ayre after signing for LFC.
FABIO BORINI set his sights on firing Liverpool FC back into the Champions League after completing his move from Roma. The 21-year-old striker became Brendan Rodgers’ first signing after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical at Melwood.
The fee hasn’t been disclosed with reports in Italy claiming the deal is worth £11million but sources close to the Reds insisting the outlay is closer to £8million.
Borini, who will wear the No 29 shirt at Anfield, is back in English football just a year after leaving Chelsea and is relishing the prospect of lining up alongside Luis Suarez.
