Three days after meeting with the Governor of Lagos State in Nigeria to explore a child friendly creative and multimedia education curriculum for schools, Zuriel launched a major pilot in South Africa for a Femicare drive, to support girls education in that country. An idea several months in the making, it focused on girls in schools in needy parts of Johannesburg, including the township of Alexandra starting the day with 2000 students, and also students in the township of Soweto.
She created a partnership with the makers of the Lil-Lets brand range of Femicare line, to ensure girls in low income areas across the Gauteng province, starting with the Johannesburg region do not miss school, because of their cycles.
