ReplyDeleteI love the song, not be because it is sung by this batch of Japanese Swahili singers, but because some twenty five years a go, I used to sing the song when I was in a youth choir. However, the most intriguing thing for me is how longer this version has been sung by these Japanese enough to believe that they speak Kiswahili language as for those who believe Swahili is not spreading in Japan? I have heard this song many times in the past two years. May be the difference is that the latest version seems to have been improved compared to the original ones, previously posted on some networks. Trust me you can sing any song, I mean any song and be heard, understood and be praised even if you aren’t a native speaker of the language of your song. I understand singing is a one way of learning, but I m ritually pessimistic if these Japanese can make a longer conversation in Swahili. chao
