Dr Jane Goodall in a special photo shoot with a Spanish crew near the UN Headquarters in New York, US, today, just a day after the premier of her film JANE'S JOURNEY by  Lorenz Knauer.  The film takes you on Safari with this unique  woman who has had more of an impact in the realm of animal research and wildlife conservation and  whose 45 year study of wild Chimpanzees in Gombe, Kigoma region, in Tanzania is legendary.

The film, that will be screened for one  week only,  opened yesterday at the New York's IFC Centre (323 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10014-4403), thereafter it goes to Los Angeles on September 23 at the Laemmle's Monica before showing in Seattle on October 7. Dr Jane Goodfall will be in attendance in all the three venues.

Dr Jane Goodall bumps onto an old friend and Tanzanian journalist Muhidin Issa Michuzi in New York today, as she was busy with her photo shoot.  The two worked together over 20 years ago in Dar es salaam during which time Dr Goodall had been busy encouraging the youth to form conservation clubs in schools going by the name of  Roots and shoots, and  Michuzi was covering her all the time.

He was so happy to meet  Dr Goodall  again and he sides with the BOSTON GLOBE that has been quoted as saying: "To be with Jane Goodall is like walking with Mahatma Gandhi".

The only gesture of gratitude for what she has done to Tanzania and wildlife  that Dr Goodall is asking is Tanzanians  should come out and watch  JANE'S JOURNEY.

Muhimu hilo!
