TBF Officials Magesa and Maluwe, Hasheem Thabeet and US Cultural Affairs Officer Ms. Dana Banks at US Embassy today , US Embassy hosted us today, donated 50 balls and signed a grant.
At Kipingu's School Lord Barden Powell High School, School Director Col. Iddi Kipingu, Hasheem, Magesa and another tallest player in the country Julias Charles who is a student at Kipungu's school.

US Embassy in Dar Es Salaam today hosted Hasheem Thabeet and TBF Vice President Phares Magesa who was accompanied by TBF Assistant Secretary General Michael Maluwe, TBF Treasurer Ms. Marry Mbaga.

The US Embassy thanked Hasheem for agreeing to conduct basketball clinics in Tanzania.

During the event US Embassy in Dar donated 50 balls to be used at Under 17 basketball Clinic to be held in Arusha June 9-10, 2012.

Cultural Affairs Officer and first Secretary of the US Embassy in Dar Es Salaam Ms. Danna Banks handed over the balls to TBF Vice President Phares Magesa in the presence of NBA Player Hasheem Thabeet, Portland Trail Blazer Centre.

Also the US state department through US Embassy in Dar es Salaam has given a grant to support administrative cost of running the Arusha Clinic, the grant was signed today by Mr. Magesa and Ms. Banks at the Embassy.

The Arusha Clinic will be conducted by one of the very best US based coach details will be released later.

After the event at the Embassy Hasheem and Mr. Magesa went to Lord Barden Powell High School in Bagamoyo.

Hasheem promised to support various school projects including building of modern basketball court for the school, Col. Kipingu is the one who gave Hasheem the first schorlaship to study at Makongo Secondary when Kipingu was Head Master of that School early 2000.
On behalf of TBF we thank Hasheem for this great initiative.

Hasheem is in the country to conduct a clinic for 200 kids from 6 regions to be held at Don Bosco grounds on 1st and 2nd June, 2012.

We call upon other organizations to join us in developing our youth through various programmes like youth clinics, basketball courts construction/refurbishment etc.

    Jamani tumpe hongera Hasheem hapa kwa kusaidi future generation. Hata ukiangalia vizuri yeye hafanyi vizuri kwenye ligi sasa hivi kwa sababu hakupata bahati ya kuwa na resource zote zinazomjenga mchezaji kuanzia akiwa mdogo. Ameanza na miaka 15. Kumbuka yeye alisema hata raba ilikuwa ngumu kupata viwanja vibovu pia si vyakutosha. Wakati wenzake kutoka Europe, na waafrika waliotoka France, Beligium, n.k walianza wikiwa wadogo na resurces kibao viwanja vya kisasa, raba, mipira sio shida sana, mashindano ya kueleweka ya ligi za huko.

    Nadhani imefika wakati tumsifie huyu kijana, sio kumponda kila kukicha watanzania. Unafanya vizuri Hasheem. Endelea hivyo hivyo. Unfanya impact kubwa sana off the field.

    Watanzania wakumbuke kwamba basketball sio kwenye gemu tu, pia ata huduma za jamii na kujitolea na kuchangia.

    Ila pia jitahidi kidogo kwenye field pia. Jaribu kubalance summer time kwa ajili ya kujifua. Mie najua watu wankudharau sana kwenye field kwa ajili ya lebel uliyopewa "bust" lakini ukijitahidi kidogo unaweza kubadilisha hayo yote. Kama vile yule Randolph wa Memphis hakuwa mzuri sana miaka yake ya mwanzoni mpaka hapa mwishoni hivi amekuwa mzuri sana.

    Tupendane, ni amri ya Mungu, na tena ni amri kuu.

    Mtu anapigania maisha kwa nguvu na anafanikiwa then watu mnamchukia. Angepigika akawa anakuja kuwaomba misaada napo mngemchukia. Mnataka afanye nini, afe au???? Na akifa ndio hao hao mtakaojifanya mnahuzunika kupita kiasi.

    Mungu aliyaona yote hayo, na anaujua udhaifu wa binadamu. Na ndio maana hakutushauri tupendane bali ALITUAMURU tupendane.

    Hasheem, Mungu azidi kukubariki na kwa kweli wewe ni mtu mwema sana na mchapa kazi kweli. Unayoyafanya ni sahihi na usisikilize maneno ya mawakala wa shetani hapa duniani, simama na Mungu tu. Pia, kama alivyoshauri mchangiaji wa kwanza, kaza buti na tupe fahari na ari zaidi kwa kufanikiwa zaidi na zaidi. Kila la kheri!
