His name is Ambwene Yessayah.But to his fans and even close people, he is just AY. He became a household name in the music industry of Tanzania a while ago and became even more popular when, with other big names, established The East Coast Team with their HQ in Upanga area of Dar-es-salaam. It is the same “gang” that brought up MwanaFA, one of AY’s closest friends, music partner and collaborator in a number of hits.
From way back then to now he is also known as “Mzee wa Commercial”…for him,apart from everything else, commerce first and that means Money…just as the song bearing the same title that I am about to introduce to you. It is also not a secret that he is well known to be the HARDEST WORKING HIP HOP ARTIST IN TANZANIA.
AY works hard and party hard as well. He has so far collaborated with a good number of internationally hitting artists and he is not showing any signs of getting even close to become tired.
