Tanzanian youth, Doreen Noni, representing Tanzania at World Economic Forum

In January 2012, Doreen Noni, Creative Director of Eskado Bird, was one of the 70 carefully selected Global Shapers from 36 countries to attend the first ever Global Shapers delegation in Davos, Switzerland hosted by the World Economic Forum representing her fashion label Eskado Bird.

This year, Doreen is the only Global Shaper from the Tanzanian hub attending the Annual 2014 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. She is representing the country well!

Her presence didn't go unnoticed! She was a panelist during the session titled “Africa’s Next Billion” which was addressing Africa's population rising to 2 billion by 2050 and the actions that are needed now to ensure sustainable and inclusive growth.

The panel of speakers consisted of very prominent and influential people. Doreen was sitting along side dignitaries such as his Excellency Goodluck Ebele Jonathan; President of Nigera, Aliko Dangote; President & CEO of Dangote Group, and his Excellency, John Dramani Mahama, President of Ghana.

Her attendance at the Forum shows great progress for women, youth and future entrepreneurs.
