Wanakosa fani moja muhimu kweli kweli!

Michu,
ReplyDeleteAre those books really genuine? I mean the original ones?, they look so new to be the original ones bearing in mind they are not published anymore. Seems like they are pirate copies, but still you can enjoy the stories regardless, how much are they??? My fave Chase is "This Way For A Shroud"
With an old friend of mine - George Alexco Karras - a Greek demi-god from Musoma we scanned through them all. And what a cheap way to simulate "watchting" action and thriller movies at the comfort of our beds.
ReplyDeleteLike a Hole in the Head was my first and then many followed: The way the Cookie Crumbles, One Bright Summer Morning, This way for a Shroud, No orchids for Miss Blandish and many, many more. By George's reckoning, we did them all - in excess of 100 only that he preferred Panther rather than Corgi publications.
The game spanned the period of our early teenage - mid and late '70's and ended only when I was mature enough to realise that they were simplistic and at that time the only place you could get them was on the street pavements.
Yes, as someone rightly said, they did boost our vocabularly and grammar. I last heard of George as being in Mpanda - over 15 years ago. Anybody knows this guy?
Yeah, ahsante aisee.

COME EASY GO EASY....
Nimevisoma vyoote!
Sasa nilikuwa nasoma the next Robert Ludlum novel I laid my hands on, "The Holcroft Covenant", after being extremely impressed with the first Ludlum novel I read, "The Bourne Identity" (arguably my favorite book ever!)
I am positive it is the same book by Chase "Beleive this and you'll beleive anything" but different settings.
