On August 2nd DCMA donated a concert of the orchestra SAFAR at the fund raising dinner organized by ZADESA. The money raised will go into the construction of the new orphanage in Zanzibar, which will provide a new home for the orphans currently housed in Forodhani. On August 12th members of DCMA’s management and teachers were given the opportunity to discuss with Zanzibar’s First Lady and Chairperson of ZADESA, Mama Shadia Karume, the possibilities of continued and extended co-operation between the two organizations and new ways of providing music education to children in Zanzibar.
