Im using your blog to look for my lost childhood friend . I have tried every where and i have failed . I have been advised by my friends that its only your blog that can help me .
Im Regina Magebo . Im Looking for a Good friend actually like a sister from Tanzania we grew up together with. She is called Yulita Philip or Yulita Philip Francis .We both lived at Ichuni Parish , Keroka , Kisii , Kenya.
Ulita was from the Rombo -Mashati areas of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. She was part of my childhood and took care of me. Its more than 20 years since i last saw her. I wish to get in touch with her.

ReplyDeleteI can understand your need, and indeed you are a good friend.
However, while this blog is one of the perfect methods to look for your long-lost friends, but I think it can somehow reach only a few select of people, especially those who have access to internet or with relative/friends that access the internet.
I would advise also to send your request to RADIO FREE AFRICA in Mwanza Tanzania (just google them for contacts), they have a special program for this type of announcements and, from what i understand it reaches all parts of the Great Lakes.
This year, in my family, we had the same experience. We tried to look for a baby brother (now 18years) who we last saw when he was 1 year old. My sister used Radio Free Africa. He actually came home after all 17 years. He told us that people in the village he lived heard his name and took our phone numbers and called home!!
Keep on trying, I pray that you find your friend, you never know she might be needing you badly by now!
