Habari za uhakika zinasema wafanyakazi wa makumbusho na jumba la utamaduni wanaandaa mnuso wa kumpongeza Dr. Msemwa siku ya Jumanne hapo hapo mjengoni.
On Behalf of His Excellency The President of the United Republic of Tanzania I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate Dr. Msemwa for the wonderful work he has exhibited in past years. His contribution at the National Museum and particularly to the House of Culture in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, is a clear demonstration that he deserves the Prize. He has made us, Tanzanians, proud and we sincerely appreciate his outstanding performance.
Sweden is a country that has the largest presence in Tanzania and in many areas. One important area is the cooperation in Museum Development. The Swedish support on this sector is highly appreciated by the government of Tanzania. It is because of that, I want to compliment you on your decision to present the first Prize to the most devoted person in the field and my fellow Tanzanian, Dr. Paul Msemwa. Indeed, I’m pleased to note that the gesture demonstrates that the future cooperation between our two countries in this and other areas, is both bright and firm.
For you all, who in one way or another, have been instrumental in initiating this Prize in honour of the Late Mr. Hans Manneby, who dedicated his work to take the relations of our two countries to its highest level, I want to say, keep up the good work. We are proud of your entire team and we thank you for taking this nobel decision in stride. Let us all pay tribute to Mr. Hans Manneby and honour his work.
