Tanzania Users of the Vodacom Tanzania internet and corporate data services have not experienced any interruptions to their service over the last few days while many others in the country have had no access to the internet due to down time experienced on the Seacom undersea fibre optic cable.
“Vodacom Business is a supplier of a quality internet and data services to Tanzanian corporate customers, and we are very pleased to say that we have a solid, redundant network in place, which means that outages such as this one will have no impact on our service.
Our customers will continue to receive top quality internet and data connections as per usual”, says Dylan Lennox, Managing Executive of Vodacom Business in Tanzania.
Vodacom Tanzania also supplies high speed broadband internet to home and office internet users over its superior 3G and HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) network throughout Tanzania. Consumers can access the internet from their phones or from their computers using a Vodacom connection.
“Vodacom Broadband Internet is the fastest, and now we can say the most reliable, internet access in the country, because Vodacom believes in investing in technology and reliability to give our customers the very best user experience” said Dylan.
“Not only are we able to provide the best quality service, but we are also going to make sure that Vodacom offers the best internet deals in the country. Nobody should think twice about their internet provider, if its quality and affordability you are after then you should be with Vodacom” he added.
Vodacom Business is a division of Vodacom Tanzania which offers data solutions to the top companies in the country. Among the services on offer from Vodacom Business are Dedicated Internet connections, Virtual Private Networks on either Layer 2 or Layer 3 MPLS or through a Corporate APN on 3G, direct connection to Vodacom network for a corporate PABX, and International Virtual Private Networks and Leased Lines.
“We will soon be launching our Data Centre in Tanzania where we can host a company’s servers and applications, meaning they don’t have to invest in clean power, cooling or security for their DRP or primary servers, saving them millions of Shillings a month” said Dylan Lennox.
“We are pleased to say that we can offer a corporate client in Tanzania just about any communication service they might want, and we have great redundancy on our local and international bandwidth, which we have proven now.
I don’t think our customers even know there is a problem on the Seacom cable since we have automatically routed all of this traffic through our connections to the SAT-3 cable on the west coast of Africa or though our backup V-SAT service we have in Tanzania!”.
“If you are experiencing problems with your VPN or internet connections you are welcome to contact us at business@vodacom.co.tz” he added.
