The Ben TV Diplomatic Awards recognises the international and continental achievements made over the past year by our continent at home and in the Diaspora within the diplomatic community. For all this and more, as the first black ethnic station broadcasting in Europe, we give them a night that we know will serve their reputation for years to come.
We cannot leave out the achievements made through the Caribbean and Asia. Much investment has been provided from these regions into Africa, to our continuous development. Alongside their own setbacks, the Caribbean and Asia have united their Diasporas and home-bases to build representative and efficient embassies which represent their own development.
In these circumstances, Ben TV will be awarding the UK’s members of the diplomatic community from Africa, the Caribbean and Pacific in recognition of the contribution awards in the following categories:
· Diaspora growth, development and involvement
· Good customer service at the High commission/embassy
·Promoting country’s image abroad
·Country’s Human Development
Other winners are:
AFRICA CATEGORY- Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Morocco, Namibia, Lesotho, Gambia, Tanzania Equatorial Guinea, South Africa, Ghana, Mozambique, Swaziland
CARIBBEAN/ASIA/PASIFIC CATEGORY: India, Fiji, New Zealand ,Australia, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Lucia, Jamaica, St Kitts, Barbados

The Tanzanian High commission departments that have won awards of DEVOTION TO DEVELOPMENT AND PROSPERITY OF THEIR NATION are : The department of immigration , the Tanzania Trade Centre, and the office of the HOC. The Tanzania high commission as a mission has won in the Category of : Good customer service , Diaspora development and Positive projection of country image abroad.
This year has seen many positive developments for Tanzania, in terms of investment growth, human development and democratic elections. Away from home, the Tanzania High Commission in particular has been working hard to engage with our Diaspora under the leadership of H.E. Peter Kallaghe. For this, we recognise their achievements not just as a credit to Tanzania, but to Africa as a whole.

BEN TV is a Black and ethnic oriented ,urban , diverse and cosmopolitan Family channel ,established to provide a whole some mix of entertainment ,educative and informational programmes suitable for family viewing .It also includes a range of cultured programming to empower ,transform and challenge the conventional perception of Africa, Caribbean and African Diaspora
