On December 7, Ambassador Alfonso E. Lenhardt met with Jacqueline Mosha, a reporter for The Guardian. Ms. Mosha visited the Embassy following her recent trip to the U.S. under the “Edward R. Murrow Program for Journalists.” The October 25 - November 12 program included visits to Washington, D.C., St. Petersburg, Florida, Seattle, and New York.Welcoming Ms. Mosha back to Tanzania, Ambassador Lenhardt said "freedom of the press is essential in every democracy. The media has a special responsibility to accurately report facts, inform citizens, and ensure transparency and accountability to strengthen democracy."
