The Minister for foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, Mr Bernard Membe (MP) yesterday met Mr. Assou Adou, the special envoy of the of the Defeated President of Côte d'Ivoire, Laurent Gbagbo in a wake of resolving the political crisis in Côte d'Ivoire .

Mr Adou, who is the Former Minister for Defence and Member of Parliament, arrived in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday to deliver special message to Tanzanian President, Mr Jakaya Kikwete from Mr. Gbagbo.

Mr Membe assured the visiting envoy that President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete will try in his possible means to listens to all warring parties in a move he said was aimed at finding lasting solution in the political turmoil in Côte d'Ivoire.

“I want to assure you that my President will be very objective and impartial in staying the course in the political conflict ” the Minister, who met the envoy at the Kempinski Hotel, noted.

He said the best approach for the political crisis like the one in Côte d'Ivoire is to listen to all parties involved in the standoff without those involved in the mediation to take sides or positions. "So we are going to Ivory Cost with open eyes to listen to all parties in the crisis" he said.

i dont know why, the adherance of democracy by African leaders is very minimal!! if there could be extreme discipline toward the peoples power, peoples decision, then there is no need of any political talks, i prefer to call it political talks rather that peace talks..!! it is crystal clear clear that gbabo has been defeated, of course not valiantly..!! albait the defeat still there is talks..?? this is geberish..!! membe just chase away that MP...!! he an't a good duude!!
