Mr. Robert Moroz, the head of DiaGeo Resources LLC, attending the annual Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) conference, spoke glowingly to fellow investors about the appeal of East Africa in general, and Tanzania in particular.
PDAC is the world's biggest exhibition for mineral exploration and mining companies, and has reportedly attracted upwards of 30,000 participants from all corners of the globe.
Being held at Toronto's Metro Convention Centre, the PDAC was split between 2 main venues, the Investors Exchange, which contained booths of exploration and mining companies and the Trade Show, which housed the minerals service companies as well as a number of foreign government representatives and geo surveys, including Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Morocco, Ghana, Mexico, Australia, Tanzania, Chile, Papua New Guinea, USA, and Canada.
After spending two weeks in Tanzania discussing future projects with the Ministry of Energy and Minerals. TPDC, NDC, and STAMICO, Mr. Moroz flew to Toronto to promote his firm's unique MIDAS Technology at the PDAC, where he also had an opportunity to hold follow-up meetings with Professor Abdul Mruma, the CEO of the Geo Survey Tanzania, as well as with STAMICO's Director of Finance, Mr. Peter Gembe.
In addition to PDAC, Mr. Moroz also participated at the 9th Annual MineAfrica seminar, where he presented the merits of Tanzania to a number of investors in attendance.
According to Robert Moroz, "Quite frankly, East Africa is a relatively easy sell. And compared to what is currently transpiring in North and West Africa, the country of Tanzania, in particular, has been a beacon of stability in an otherwise turbulent continent. Moreover, apart from the political dynamic, Tanzania is also abundant in mineral resources. These two components present an appealing investment thesis."
