On Thursday, September 15, 2011, The African Diaspora Forum brought together a core group of stakeholders in the U.S.-Africa foreign policy and economic development arenas to consider ways for the African Diaspora in North America to engage the World Bank on its new Five-Year Plan for Africa’s Future entitled: “Africa’s Future and the World Bank’s Support to It”. With the World Bank Representative for Eradication of malaria in Africa, is the African Union Representative to the United States of America, Ambassador Amina Salum Ali who seized the opportunity to make a call to her fellow Ambassadors for a strong advocacy to engage more of the respective governments, with the support of the international community, to achieve the Abuja target on health financing for the improvement of the health sector in Africa.
