It seems just yesterday you're with us,A lot has passed, but you are still within us.
It's now two years since you've been gone, Although we continue with our life we still moan for you
To your children, you were and are still near and dear to our hearts,You were always there for us and our families,You never cease to love, “teach” and pray for us,Your teaching will always dwell in us.
To your grandchildren you were our second mother,When our parents were off, you took charge of us.
You never had too little food to overfeed us,You were forever excited to see us - even during surprise visits.
How can we forget the days you would beat Babu at draft,And he would gracefully accept the defeat with no doubt.Like a proud mother, you were also proud of your grandchildren.
To your husband, you are still my endless love,And you still surpass all other women,Your lovely sister-in- law, Cecilia, joined you last month,We miss you both!
Now that you are no longer with us,We only have pictures and memories of you.
It's a pity your great grandchildren won't know you,You should see how beautiful and healthy they are becoming.
How can we ever forget you?!
