President Dr.Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete speaks during a joint press conference at the end of Commonwealth Heads of Government (CHOGM) meeting held in Perth, Australia this morning. Centre is Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard and left is Commonwealth Secretary General Kamalesh Sharma who has also been reappointed to the post for a further four-year term.
The meeting, under the theme ' Building National Resilience,Building Global Resilience' ended this morning.At the end of the Commonwealth meeting, heads reaffirmed their committment to the values and principles of the association and agreed to a series of actions to maintain Commonwealth's relevance, to ensure its effectiveness in responding to contemporary global challenges and to build resilient societies and economies.
