The TEKU facebook page is being launched to keep TEKU stakeholders in touch and informed about developments of TEKU and about the stakeholders themselves and to act as a medium of harnessing ideas and resources and enabling stakeholders to participate in the development of TEKU.
Thus it hopes to bring together all senior management and permanent academic staff, members of The University Council, all graduates and diplomates and graduate, degree, diploma and certificate course students and those awarded honorary degrees by TEKU and retired TEKU academic employees and other stakeholders.
TEKU’S six years of existence have been challenging but all the same TEKU has achieved much including: establishing 3 campuses in Mbeya, Dar-Es-Salaam and Tabora; the first Woman Vice Chancellor of a University in the United Republic of Tanzania; development of a computer application that facilitates student access of examination on their mobile telephones and the commencement of a female’s hostel on its main campus; a modern library building on its main campus in Mbeya and over 3000 graduates, diplomats and certificate holders.
Much remains to be done and this facebook page is expected to be a market place of ideas and information that will contribute in propelling TEKU towards greater heights. Please visit our facebook page and contribute constructively as often as you can.
