African Life Assurance, the leading life insurer in Tanzania has again scooped the prestigious NBAA best presented financial statements awards 2011 for the life insurance category.

The award was presented to African Life’s CFO Mr. Samwel Mika (above) by Mr. Vickson Ncube the CEO of Panafrican Federation of Accountants (PAFA) at a function held at Kibo Palace Hotel in Arusha.

This becomes the 3rd year in a row for African Life Assurance to be awarded by NBAA. In 2009 African Life won 3rd position in the insurance industry category moving on to win first position in 2010 and maintaining the same position for the life insurance category in 2011.

Speaking to members of the press, African Life’s CEO Julius Magabe said “African Life Assurance puts great emphasis in quality excellence not only in its financials but in all our operations and winning this award for 3 consecutive years signifies that commitment to our stakeholders”.

African Life Assurance has experienced significant growth at a rate of over 30 per cent, as result of its commitment to quality service delivery and it now commands a 47 per cent market share.
