In the same vein, Nigerian forumites are in the forefront attacking any other house mates other than Ofuneka to the same end. Most of them are viewing this game as a contest whereby if Ofu wins it will show that Nigeria is tops. Thus Nigerians( and I'm not referring to Ofu) have become untouchables. These sentiments were also expressed in the thread -'Nigerians will hurt Ofu's chances.'
The advantage that Nigerians have in furthering their ploy is that most forumites from the other countries are objective in their assessments of house mates. Thus they do not unreasonably come to the support of their country contestant where they come under attack nor do they unreasonably heap praise on them in order to boost any house mate's popularity(i.e.one would almost think there is no internet in countries like Zimbabwe or that there are no Zimbabweans on the forum to support Bertha). In addition, they are able to credit any house mate where the same is due irrespective of the house mate's nationality.Ofuneka has been the major beneficiary of this objectivity from viewers in other countries.
BBA is a cerebration beyond being a competition for the contestants, is a cerebration of Africanness in its entirety. If people view the contestants as Africans other than national of their respective countries then this show will be more enjoyable and there will not be need for people to denigrate each other on this forum for daring to express their opinion on any contestant.
