Somebody had a point.Realmadrid they tried that and for all those 3 yrs never won anything rather than selling T-shirt.
ReplyDeleteGood team need good players, good coach, play style with ability to change, happy to be there and good managment/traditional leadership.
Hayo ni mambo yanayo takiwa kwa pomoja, kama moja halipo is not sustainable team.
there is a demented who has been posting some stupid comments under my name. I am pretty sure I know who it is (or at least his alias). I have been ignoring this imbecile's comments for a while now, but sadly some people have started to believe it may really be me; and I also don't like the implications of some of his comments, such as the one above.
ReplyDeleteI always log in using my blogger.com account when commenting on posts, rather than just type the name Nalitolela. That's how you can tell this douche-bag's comments from mine.
Anyways, those who truly know me, know what a die hard Man U I am, thus I will never succumb to supporting Citeh/Shitty no matter what, and I never went to "Muzumbe" (Mzumbe?) University as this degenerate claims.
anyways... back to the actual post. I know this is a joke/day-dream. But just for argument's sake... let's talk about Citeh's ambitions for a bit...
ReplyDeleteThere is no way Man-Shitty would be able to lure half of those players to the City of Manchester Stadium. It was easier for Chelsea to attract some big names because it was a team that was already up there; an almost team so to speak. They won the FA Cup in 97 and 00 (runners up in 02); League Cup in 98 and the penultimate Cup Winners Cup in 98. They also featured in the UCL in 00 and 03; reaching the Quarter Finals in 00. So, when Roman came he knew with a little financial muscle, he could turn CFC to almost runs to serious contenders.
Citeh on the other hand, were in the 1st division (now Championship) as recently as 01; and actually even took part in the 3rd tier of English football in 98/99; with 77 being the last time they won any major cup. Sure they say in modern football money talks, but you gotta have the appeal and history to attract big-name players. Or at least they could start small; target winning the UEFA Cup first or qualify for UCL, then have the audacity to bid for the squad above.
And should heavens forbid and the impossible happen, and city acquire their dream squad. Then like the Anonymous guy from 2:23 AM, and 6:23 AM said, satisfying the inflated egos and sustaining the squad is another thing all together.
