Mtagwa KOs Villa in 10th!
In a hard fought featherweight thriller, Rogers Mtagwa (24-12-2, 18 KOs) scored a spectacular tenth round KO over WBC #8 rated Tomas "El Norteño" Villa (20-6-4, 13 KOs) on Friday night at the Casino del Sol in Tucson, Arizona.
The fight looked to be almost over in round nine when Villa dropped Mtagwa with a flurry of punches, but Mtagwa survived the round.
Amazingly Mtagwa came out with a furious assault in the tenth dropping Villa three times to end it! Time was 1:20.
With the win, Mtagwa claims the IBA title.
