Twenty Tanzanians selected from nine regions of Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar for a Basketball coaches clinic in the United States are scheduled to depart for the Washington DC on Monday evening, September 28.
The “U.S.-Tanzania Basketball Coaches Clinic” provided by the American people will run from September 28 through October 13, 2009 in Washington D.C.; Richmond, Virginia; Rockville, Maryland; and San Antonio, Texas. The delegation will be led by The Ministry of Information, Culture and Sports Official Juliana Jones Yassoda.

The U.S.-Tanzania Basketball Coaches Exchange will provide Tanzanian coaches from Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Morogoro, Dodoma, Arusha, Moshi, Tanga, Unguja, and Pemba the chance to visit to the United States to learn from and share their experiences with basketball leaders and their counterparts.

The cultural exchange program intends, among other activities, to offer clinics aimed at coaching all levels of basketball and other sports, provide information on nutrition, strength and conditioning, sports for people with disabilities, conflict resolution, parent involvement, community mobilization, creative ways of fundraising during difficult times, and operation of basketball facilities and sports complexes.
The coaches will meet and visit Americans in their homes and have other cultural excursions

Hapo experience inaonyesha huo msafara wachezaji wa kweli labda ni wawili tuu wengine wote ni mabosi wasio na aibu,watoto wa mabosi, ndugu,jamaa,marafiki na waliotoa dau/takrima wapewe nafasi na watakao rudi bongo hawatafika nusu...yaani kazi kweli na ndio tutegemee maendeleo ya mpira wa kikapu,anayetaka kujiendeleza kikapu atafute mwenyewe college hata community college aje states achezee timu ya chuo na mazoezi kwa bidii na kujituma lazima watamwona maana Americans wanathamini talent & hard work,ila kila la kheri na safari yenu ya mtoni ingawaje naona ni usanii tuu!
