To reach a wider audience such announcements should be issued in good time. I have just seen this one and apparently I have missed out!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
I am a high school historian. I just want know how about did the late Mr. Kawawa fight to get Tanzania's freedom? From my understanding, Tanganyika was under the U.N Trustship, and unlike Kenya, Tanganyikans never had to fight viciously against the British like Mau Mau fighters did. The Late Mwalimu Nyerere just asked the UN to grant Tanganyika independence, no bloodshed was spilled. Is this how it ahppened or the late Mr. Kawawa did something other than serving under the dictatorial regime of Mwalimu Nyerere?
ReplyDeleteAny information will be appreciated since it will help me and my students to understand our history better.
Also, why was he called "Simba wa Vita"?
In the name of freedom of speech, I hope Mr. Michuzi will not self sensor himself with my request.
As I have expected, no one came out here to answer my question about the late Mr. Kawawa. I guess my students and I will just make our own conclusions. In this day and age, I refuse to teach my students anything without concrete evidence.
