I am a regular reader of your blog and today would like to share with the others photos of our KILI-VIJANA youth team from Moshi which participated at Phoenix Hockey Tournament held on 6th to the 8th of August in Tanga.A total of nine teams took part and one team was from Mombasa named Mvita. We lost to this team by 4-0.
The boys played for the first time at a competition level and lost on penalty flicks to reach the semi-finals. But we were proud to receive an award of the BEST YOUNG UPCOMING TEAM.
Our practices are held every Saturday in at the Sikh Club in Moshi starting at 4:30pm and all are invited to join.We try to provide equipments as well. Practices for girls are held on Thursday's at 4:30pm.
Many thanks Issa, and keep up the blog/website.

ReplyDeleteNitesh,
ReplyDeleteWith this issue of sports being abolished in our primary schools (and sadly for Moshi, in English medium schools as well), I would suggest that you kindly start a coaching program for young children. I for one would enroll my son, even at a fee.
Please let me know through this medium (Michuzi's blog) of your thoughts.
Congrats for the award...looking forward to hearing of your participation in more competions
Congrats boys, however you need to work hard more. Cricket was hockey was may favourite sports, however I lost the apetite due to the fact that this sports has been abandoned in our country.
ReplyDeleteI am glad to see it again coming.
