I have an urgent topic that I feel should raise awareness for the people because its truly bad. Could you help me put it on the blog and newspaper so that people know...
Today I almost got swindled by a group of professional thieves...A guy called from what he said was UNHCR offering a tender for fumigation medicines..He said he was from Kigoma and worked with the UNHCR and that his boss had come here to Dar to get those medicine and he needed assistance and asked me to link them up and act as the agent....
He linked me up with the supposed supplier who claims he works for TFDA and the buyer a European from abroad who I also spoke to... They asked to meet at the Kempinski, but fortunately I called Kempinski and found out there was no one with that name there and by chance I mentioned to someone about the deal and the person told me its a scam going on for quite a while now..
I had no idea, and if it wasn't for God's protection I would have fallen in their trap..later I came to find out that so many people, especially women, have lost many millions already with the same kind of conning...
Also when I found out, I started taking the gang for a ride and kept telling them I am on the way while I reported this issue to the cops...Later one of the thieves texts me and says ".......... the cops are the ones depending on us, their salaries are not enough for them..."
Imagine that! I still have his messages.....
Because a lot of people have already been swindled, its time that others know or they could fall victims just like the way I almost did..Plus apparently the European guy is a German and some of the people have met him in the course of being cheated...

Looks like the scam has been going on a while now. Does that mean the cop you reported to actually warned your so called businessman? Mhh where did you report? should you now not report the cop?
ReplyDeletePole sana as they say.... always watch out for extremely tempting deals which promises big and fast riches, there is no short cut to making money. any one who gets rich fast, is a suspect.
You are not curious enough, why didn't you alert the police and continue with the deal at the same time, in order to trap them. For your information this business is as old as I am.
