A team of U.S. Government rural roads and power experts are in Dar es Salaam this week meeting with Government of Tanzania counterparts to develop a phase one plan for Tanzania under the Partnership for Growth Initiative.
On Thursday, October 18 the group attended a luncheon at the Hyatt Regency where John Morton, Chief of Staff of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation made a presentation on the US-Africa Clean Energy Finance Initiative (US-ACEF), an innovative financing mechanism that was recently launched at the Rio +20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development.
