On May 15, Ambassador Alfonso E. Lenhardt attended a ceremony where he officially presented the Tanzania National Pandemic Disaster Preparedness and Response Plan with the supporting Tanzania People's Defense Forces Pandemic Contingency Plan to the Office of the Prime Minister represented by Minister of Defense, Shamsi Vuai Nahodha. The event recognized the Government of Tanzania's plan, which will be the guiding document to implement effective responses in the event of a severe pandemic complex emergency. The ceremony was held at the Prime Minister's office and was also attended by Lieutenant General Sylvester Rioba and other Government of Tanzania officials. Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
