Ruvuma Regional police commander ACP. Joseph Michael Konyo calls for cooperation with police army and drivers in Ruvuma Region.
When he talked to the drivers of Bajaj,motorcycle in the meeting held at Songea club Hall yesterday ACP. Joseph Konyo told the drivers the only solution to avoid conflict between the police army and drivers is cooperation.
He said that , the function of the police is to make sure road safety is available and to ensure those who where intended to destroy ways of protecting exidents in roads were taken by the police army for conversation .
Road safety officer Acp. Salumu Mori Mori encouraged the drivers to increase cooperation between police army and drivers by providing close cooperation .
ACP. Salumu Mori mori explained close cooperation will help the police army to hear challenges from drivers and finding the best solution of solving problems instead of fearing police army.
Mussa David the Bajaj driver complained unfear fines commanded by the police officer to the drivers , contributed in fearing police army .
David said drivers will not stop fearing police officers due to unfear fines if found guilty either by wrong packing or increasing passengers but the fines that they are mentioned not related with the mistakes said David.
The meeting ending by encouraging drivers to have acooperation with police army and any caos arise in the drivers side they must use there leaders to submit there problems to the police office command for implementation.
