STEVEN GERRARD has proved he's top of the class off the pitch as well as on it after being handed a degree by a leading university.
The England midfielder, 26, received an honourary fellowship to mark his contribution to sport from the Liverpool John Moores University during a ceremony at the city's Anglican cathedral.
Gerrard said: I am very proud to become a fellow of Liverpool John Moores University.
"Not only has the university done so much for the city and people of Liverpool but it has given the science of football international credibility.
"It is an honour to be recognised with this award."
Lakini hiyo degree hajaisotea. Wamempa (honor recognised). Tofauti sana na degree ya kuisotea miaka mitatu bwana
ReplyDeleteKaka Kus nimeona post yako. Nimefurahi sana.
ReplyDeleteIT IS AN HONORARY DEGREE, NOT HONOR/HONOUR DEGREE, THERE IS A DIFRERENCE BETWEEN HONOUR/HONOR DEGREE AND HONORARY DEGREE. BEFORE I GO FURTHER HONOR IS AMERICAN ENGLISH SPELLING AND HONOUR IS BRITISH ENGLISH SPELLING. HENCE, HONORARY DEGREE IS THAT ONE SOMEBODY GETS OR CONFERRED TO DUE TO RECOGNITION OF ACHIEVEMENT OR EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE WITHOUT THE USUAL PREREQUISITES OR OBLIGATIONS, IN SIMPLE LANGUAGE WITHOUT GOING TO THE COLLEGE AND STUDY IT. WHILE HONOUR/HONOR DEGREE IS THAT ONE YOU HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL TO STUDY FOR IT AND PASS EXAMS IN A VERY STRICTLY MANNER IN A REPUTABLE SCHOOL. BUT THE SAME WORD OURSIDE DEGREE'S STUFF HAS OTHER MEANINGS.
