LZ Enterprise is announcing a historic National Football Initiative endorsed by the Government of Tanzania. North America’s 1st Division ’08 Champions, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, will be visiting Tanzania as part of a 2010 Promotional Campaign for football and tourism development.
LZ Enterprise is endorsed by Tanzania’s Ministry of Info, Sports & Culture, Tanzania Football Federation, Canada’s High Commissioner, and the Tanzania Tourist Board to implement this National Initiative for the United Republic of Tanzania March 6-18, 2009.
WHITECAPS TANZANIA TOUR
The goals of this event are to promote Tanzania as a world-class football destination in light of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, as well as local football development and tourism promotions. The Vancouver Whitecaps FC will be the first international team to play friendly matches with Tanzanian’s top football clubs at the new National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The Whitecaps Tanzania Tour will serve to promote and endorse Tanzanian football, facilities, tourism, and further business opportunity. The Whitecaps have a focused itinerary for youth football clinics, community outreach programs, and a visit to Ngorongoro Crater.
LZ Enterprise is dedicated to strengthening the bridge between N.America and Tanzania by leading Tanzanian football to its next level of international exposure and partnership. The Whitecaps Tour places great emphasis on a strong international and local media component with a North American media and film crew traveling with our visiting team.
Whitecaps team owners, Jeff Mallett – former President and CEO at Yahoo Inc., Greg Kerfoot – CEO of Seagate Software, and Steve Nash – former Phoenix Suns guard / current philanthropist will assist in bringing significant exposure and partnership to not only Tanzanian football, but the greater Tanzanian business community.
LZ ENTERPRISE BACKGROUND
LZ Enterprise is based between the U.S. and Tanzania, dedicated to sports development through international exchange, youth development, and the universal game of football. In 2005, LZ Enterprise produced the Tanzania Soccer Summit hosting the Seattle Sounders in Tanzania for international friendship, football development, as well as introducing sports-tourism to Tanzania’s tourism sector.
