  8. As far as I know, all religions promote peace openly, despite that few individuals tend to use them for their personal gains.
The foundation of a nation secular or not will constitute the peaceful elements of each religion as a guiding point.
Our President's effort to meet various religious group its to highlight the importance of these groups in the maintenance of tranquility in our country. It's sad when we start having negative views and attacking such events.
Each one of us has the responsibility of seeing beyond those who are negative in their views of other religion. "anonymous of Wed Sep 07, 10:08:00 AM 2011" is a classic example of how we should not behave. Doing wrong to justify another wrong will only lead to worse situation.
I congratulate our president on such events and I hope this will continue in the effort of promoting peace and tranquility in our fragile country.

  11. Before all these religions, our forefathers believed in something more than the religion brought by foreigners. Who are we to judge which is the right religion. Colonized from our land to our belief. Before Christianity and Islam, we had our own beliefs of which today we look negatively upon it. Yeeh even if I prayed to an idol,it was our way our culture. So all of you above joined me to tree in the center of the bridge to pray for rain!
