EXIM Bank Tanzania has donated 50 beds and mattresses worth TZS 20M/- to Mnazi Mmoja Hospital in Unguja Zanzibar, in its ongoing year-long corporate social campaign aimed at celebrating 20 years of serving the Tanzanian community.

In an attempt to address the chronic bed capacity problem plaguing the nation, Exim Bank launched the campaign dubbed “20 years of taking care of the community” last month during the banks 20th anniversary. In total, the bank is investing TZS 200M/- into the Tanzanian health care by donating 500 mattresses and beds to public hospitals in 13 regions across the country.

Mnazi Mmoja Hospital in Zanzibar is the second hospital to receive this donation, after Temeke Hospital in Dar es Salaam last month. The event was held at the hospital grounds and was honoured by the presence of Honorable Ambassador Seif Ali Iddi, the Second Vice President of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar.
